Premier Loline 591270
Split Solar Hot Water Heater
Specifically designed for environments prone to frost, the Premier® Loline incorporates patented Drain-Back heat exchange technology to maximise solar gain and protect against all weather extremes. The Premier Loline replaces water in the panels with a special heat exchange fluid with anti-freeze properties. The design is both safe and efficient, as fluid drains out of the panels to prevent freezing and heat loss in cold conditions, and overheating in hot climates.

Streamline 591270: Key Attributes
Optimal Performance
Most suitable for areas that receive medium to high levels of solar radiation and are not subject to frost conditions.
Frost Resistant
In very cold conditions the water temperature can approach freezing point. The unique Drain-Back™ heat exchange technology protects in any weather extreme.
Split Solar System
Solahart’s split system solar water heaters are designed to give you the maximum flexibility of installation locations, while minimises the visual impact of going solar and maximising the potential savings from the sun.
Environmental Incentives
There is an incentive resulting in a financial benefit to households that install solar hot water, under the Renewable Energy Target – a Federal Government legislated scheme. Your Solahart Expert can deduct the value of the financial benefit as an upfront discount off your system.
The low profile and unobtrusive solar collectors are mounted on the roof, whilst the storage tank is mounted at ground level out of sight. The electric boosted model can even be installed inside your home. This minimises the visual impact of going solar, while maximising the potential savings from the sun.
The 591270 Premier Loline includes in-tank electric boosting to provide hot water even when the sun isn't shining. The electric booster is suitable for connection to a continuous tariff and features automatic electronic controls.

* The suggested price is comprised of RRP less the applicable solar incentive and excluding installation. Solar incentive value applies to 591270 system in Zone 3.
^ Energy savings of up to 65% shown are based on Australian Government approved TRNSYS simulation modelling of a Rheem 591270/2CS07 and using a medium load in Zone 3 and apply when replacing an electric water heater. Any savings will vary depending upon your location, type of Solahart system installed, orientation and inclination of the solar collectors, type of water heater being replaced, hot water consumption and fuel tariff. Maximum financial savings off your hot water bill are achievable when replacing an electric water heater on continuous tariff.
† Warranty Details: 5 Year cylinder, heat exchanger and solar panels, 3 Year labour on cylinder and heat exchanger, 1 Year parts including labour. Applies to a single family domestic dwelling only. Without limiting these periods, a 5-year whole-of-product warranty applies where a rebate has been received under Solar Victoria’s Solar Homes Program for installations from 1st July 2023. How Drain-Back Solar Water Heaters Work
Solar Operation The Premier Loline closed circuit solar water heater has its vitreous enamel lined solar storage tank installed at ground or floor level, remotely from the solar collectors. This water heater is an indirect solar hot water system with a heat exchanger in the solar storage tank.
The heat exchanger is filled with closed circuit fluid and is connected to the solar collectors forming a closed circuit. The closed circuit fluid is a solution of a blue, non-toxic food grade propylene glycol concentrate mixed with water. The closed circuit concentrate is used to lower the freezing temperature of the closed circuit fluid and provides protection against freezing.
As the sun heats the solar collectors, the increase in temperature activates the pump. The pump switches on whenever the solar collectors are hotter than the water in the tank. The pump moves the closed circuit fluid from the solar storage tank heat exchanger through an insulated copper pipe to the solar collectors to be heated by the sun’s energy and then back to the heat exchanger. Heat transfers from the closed circuit fluid in the heat exchanger to the water stored in the solar storage tank.
This process continues while solar energy is available and until the water in the solar storage tank reaches a temperature of approximately 75°C. The pump is then deactivated and the closed circuit fluid in the solar collectors and solar pipe work drains back into the heat exchanger in the solar storage tank.
The closed circuit provides protection to the solar collectors and solar circuit in harsh water areas. The drain back principle provides protection to the system in freezing conditions.
Automatic safety controls are fitted to the water heater to provide safe and efficient operation.
Freeze Protection Operation
The water heater has a freeze protection system. The water heater, including the in-series gas booster, is not suitable for installation in areas where the ambient temperature falls below -20°C (including wind chill factor). The closed circuit fluid is an anti-freeze agent which, when mixed to the correct specification, can withstand temperatures of -20°C before it may freeze. The anti-freeze control of the solar circuit is designed so there is no closed circuit fluid in the solar collectors or solar hot and solar cold pipes when the pump is off. The solar circuit only contains closed circuit fluid when the pump is operating during periods of solar gain when heating is required. When the solar pump stops operating, the closed circuit fluid drains back into the storage tank heat exchanger.
